My friends of art publisher DRAW A LINE asked me to shoot a making of video for one of their upcoming prints by Berlin based artist OSIF SEIKSUH. The goal was to show the complexity of creating a Lithography in combination with the amazing aesthetics of the old printing machine at TABORPRESSE Berlin.

I got assisted by my man Martin Wolf who helped me in this 2,5 days shoot with the second camera! I still like to see the heaviness of the machine in combination with the final artwork and I think it will help to understand the whole process of Lithography viagra canada.

It’s so good to see my friends working on their ideas and I’m proud about every one of them having success with the stuff they love. One of the next projects to keep an artsy eye on is DRAW A LINE, a new project that curates unique and limited art editions which you can buy soon on their new website.

Working together with a network of amazing urban and contemporary artists from around the globe the plattform will make their art available for everyone. I can´t wait for the launch and also picked my first piece already..

I wish you all the best and I´m sure everything will work out fine! If you want to know more about DRAW A LINE watch the trailer above and take a view on their blog over here!

Marina Abramović and Ulay had an intense relationship back in the 70s and worked together as a couple on many amazing performances. When they felt the relationship had come to an end they decided to walk the great chinese wall, each one from another end, meeting in the middle for a last big hug and never see each other again.

At Marina’ s 2010 MOMA retrospective she performed “The artist is present” and took one minute of silence with each stranger sitting in front of her. After so many years Ulay came to the show without her knowing that he is there.

Picasso Painting

16.January 2012

Lately I did a little Reedition of a video I took last year. It was shot in the backyard of Dresden based art duo Sutter & Schramm. I really liked the first edition but it was to shaky because i shot it handheld back than. Now -with new techniques in postproduction I managed to finally stabilize it and get a much better result. Love it.

The newest Work in Progess episode for Arte Creative is about artist Stefan Strumbel. Nico did the second camera for Clemens Poloczek aka iGNANT.

Since I started to make videos it was kind of my goal to produce something for german/french TV channel ARTE. Now I took some small steps in this direction since I was invited by Clemens Poloczek aka Ignant to work with him on his Work in Progress series for the new platform ARTE Creative. Our first Co-Work (I did the second camera) was about artist Rachel de Joode. We visited her in her studio in Prenzlauer Berg and followed her around for one day taking a closer look on her work. Enjoy.

Atelier Azulejaria

12.March 2011

I took this picture while shooting a film at beautiful Atelier Azulejaria in Rio de Janeiro. The workshop is hosted by director Laura Taves and integrates people from the Favelas by coaching them how to draw on tiles.

Having the oppurtunity to work with Johann König and Juergen Teller for the latest Freunde von Freunde episode was not an everyday thing for me. A lot of respect came with that. So I was very glad that Johann made it possible to document such a chilled out conversation between these two art world experts. I think we made a pretty unique and close film. See the full interview and photos here.

Videostill of Johann König and Jürgen Teller talking about the Louvre Photoshoot of Jürgen at 032c gallery. Watch out for the full video at Freunde von Freunden coming in february.
