You and Me and You is my new mix where I try to discover the new slow. With the heavy influence an inspiring exchange of YeahSara I picked out some of my latest favorite tracks that somehow shaped very special moments in the last year. Take your time for the mix and and get slow with me and ASAP Pocky, Syd the Kid, Frank Ocean, Holy Other, Miguel, Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd and many more. One Love.
I´m so into this trashy Versace-Arabic aesthetics.
The Satorialist organized a lunch to bring together some of the best styled men in a small restaurant in Florence.
One of the best moments in my concert history was visiting the second last show of LCD Soundsystem at BigDayOut Festival in Melbourne/Australia last year. At this point it was clear that the band will split and for us it should be the first and the last chance to see them live. For their last concert they chose New Yorks Madison Square Garden and produced the documentary “SHUT UP AND PLAY THE HITS” around the whole event with nice background pictures of James Murphy and the band. Watch the trailer above. Down there are 2 screenshot from clips I made in Melbourne.

Nico produced a very nice short for ASVOFF 2012 competition. I love to see him develop his work and unique style. Looking forward…
I love this little short by Matthew Frost for french fashion magazine Jalouse. Matthew is also responsible for several music videos for M83 like Graveyard Girl and Teen Angst.
Morning will come,
And I’ll do what’s right;
Just give me till then
To give up this fight.
Lately I did a little Reedition of a video I took last year. It was shot in the backyard of Dresden based art duo Sutter & Schramm. I really liked the first edition but it was to shaky because i shot it handheld back than. Now -with new techniques in postproduction I managed to finally stabilize it and get a much better result. Love it.
I´m happy that I finally found the time during the christmas holiday to concentrate on the Inside Job documentary about the financial crisis from 2008. I never really understood what was going on there – to complex was the system of credits, swaps etc.. and I still don´t understand it properly.
But this documentary helps me to see what is going on in this very far world of banks, insurance companys, lobby groups and political power. Narrated by Matt Damon it´s a very good researched story with a lot of the most important players in this game. You get insights into the context and structures of the financial market and it allows you to conclude for yourself about your attitude towards the whole system.
Thanx for sharing this free documentary. Now it´s our turn to spread it. At least it is the simplest thing we can do – to inform and be informed. And as the last sentence of the film says: “It won´t be easy – but some things are worth fighting for.”
Saul Williams explores the Catacombs of Paris for La Blogotheque. I`m in love with this format from the first day I found it a couple of years ago. The rough shooting, the dirty pictures, the natural unplugged sound combined with special locations. It proofs that an interesting content battles the technical execution. In this case it makes it even more cool because it fits to the underground style of the catacombs. See more LaBlogotheque videos here.
Some more educational videos from when MTV was still cool. I love the commercials in between.
Coincience in the yard. For me one of the best pics on Streetfiles this year. Always and Forever by the amazing Streetbrother. BigUp to Emmet, Stefan Kaz, Movel, Sultan, Health+, Ueberdose, Almut, Upstruct, Michi, Hausburger and all the other photographers in the game. Thanks for your efforts to keep the quality high and our daily dose of inspiration. One Love.
