Simfy - The German Spotify
17. Mai 2010

Good news for my german readers. There is something on it´s way to grow to a german Spotify. If you don´t know Spotify by now, imagine a site constructed like ITunes where you can play every music you want, whenever you want, plus remixes (best site ever!!).
The Problem is because of fucking GEMA Spotify is not yavailable in Germany yet. SoSo as always German companies Copy/Paste good foreign sites and build up their own German market. This is what the Simfy guys are doing. I signed up for Simfy last week and right now I am still exploring. My first impressions are that it is not Spotify. Since I had the chance to check out Spotify in Sweden and now here in London, Simfy looses mostly in Terms of variety of artists. Especially Indie and smaller Artists you can hardly find here.
But anyway. The service is still growing and even now you can use Simfy as a little Plus to your Music collection. If you wanna go Premium anyway (9,99€) I would recommend you to use Spotify through a Proxy (it´s a server that tells Spotify that you are in one of the countries where it works). I still hope that Spotify will be available in Germany soon. P.S. Does anyone has a free Spotify invite for me????

Am I MGMT ?
12. November 2009
Fasten your seatbelts. If you don´t know yet how the Blogosphere works here comes an actual example.
First Johnny over at Spreeblick wrote an article about the Soundtrack of our Generation. Than Sara of Dragstripgirl commented on this article and created the MGMT-Generation. This Creation was picked up by Franzi at Indigoidian, who wrote an article about this so called MGMT-Generation. This article read Johnny again and was so fascinated about it, that he forgot about his own article, created the Blog PingPong and played the ball back to Franzi. Nice one! Welcome to the Internet!
And I? I am listening to MGMT while sitting in the office and I am thinking about to which generation I belong!?
Wave

If you didn´t notice yet, the word Wave pops up in internet more and more. Most of the people using that word sound like they don´t really know what wave is for and all about. But if you combine Wave with Google than something serious is going on and you should update yourself if you don´t want to live behind the moon in the next years. Read more here.
